#ad How to make a high protein Basque cheesecake! When I used to chef for a body builder this was his favorite dessert on special occasions. I personally loved using @Isopure vanilla whey protein powder for this recipe to add a great vanilla flavor and awesome protein. Ingredients: * 36 oz cream cheese, room temp * 1.5 cups sugar * 5 large eggs, room temp * ½ tsp salt * 2 cups heavy cream * 2 scoops Isopure Vanilla Whey Protein Powder Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a 9 inch spring form pan with parchment paper and make sure the parchment comes up over the sides. 2. In a mixer or with a hand mixer, on medium heat beat the cream cheese and sugar together with a paddle attachment. Beat until smooth and creamy. 3. While mixing, whisk in the eggs until smooth. Do the same with the heavy cream. 4. Once the mixture is smooth, sift the Isoupre Vanilla Whey protein into the cream cheese mixture and whisk until smooth. 5. For a super smooth cheesecake, pour the cheesecake through a fine mesh strainer into the parchment lined springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula and transfer into the oven. 2 hacks for making your life easier in the kitchen One of the biggest lessons they teach you in culinary school is to work smarter not harder in the kitchen. There are so many hacks for efficiency that I have learned in school and in my restaurant experience, but two that I use every day are below: 1. Keep a trash bowl at your station. This saves me SO much time because I don’t have to walk to the trash can every single time I have a piece of trash. Instead I throw it in the bowl and usually only have to walk to the trash can once or twice to empty it. 2. Use a bench scraper to pick up items off of your cutting board. I see so many people using their knife or hands to pick up prep off their butting boards and it is just so much easier with a bench scraper. It is my most used tool besides a knife, and one that I don’t go anywhere without when I am cheffing. What other kitchen efficiency hacks would you add to this list?? #cooking #kitchen #LifeHack
