When little girls meet a mermaid, they don’t just see a mermaid, they see a magical best friend.🥹 And one day, when they grow up, I hope they look back and realize: wow…we really can be anything we dream of. The other day, something amazing happened. I’ve been doing this for almost 10 years, and one of the guppies from my early days (now an adult) found me and reached out to thank me for making her birthday so special all those years ago. 😭 Being a part of their childhood is so deeply important to me. I don’t take it lightly. I know the responsibility that comes with being a magical character in their world and filling their lives with imagination, even just for a little while. And through meeting Mermaid Elle® they also learn about the ocean, about how to care for it, protect it, and love it, and that sticks with them too.
