Replying to @Fett Here’s the answer you were looking for 🧊 👇🏻 By pulling the ice blocks out and replacing them back in the hole, it ensures the ice will freeze up the fastest after we leave for the day. Leaving the ice block on top of the ice can be dangerous for snowmobiles. Especially after a light dusting of snow. And, another reason we pull the ice blocks out is because it can cause incoming fish to be leafy of the hole and spook easier. But no matter what method you choose, always mark your location with a giant stick at the end of the day. #fishing #icefishing #minnesota
45 degrees out and sunny when this happened… The metal stakes that were holding our house down conducted enough heat to melt the ice around them which resulted in all but one stake to rip out when this gust of wind hit. Luckily one single stake managed to hold everything down or else this house would’ve blown across the lake. #fishing #icefishing #minnesota
