Have you heard of the Polar Express Train Ride near Mount Rainier? The Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad offers the Polar Express Ride during the holiday season. The train departs at Elbe, WA. Like the Polar Express Book, passengers are encouraged to wear their pajamas. Hot chocolate and cookies are also served on board. The conductor comes to check and punch your tickets. And Santa comes on board to give each kid a silver bell. Tickets are SOLD OUT this holiday season. I recommend buying tickets when they go on sale next September. I also recommend booking two rows (like 47 and 49 so you face each other) for your family since it is a snug fit in coach.
