This injection puts me into medically induced menopause and shuts down my remaining ovary that continues to grow ovarian cysts that rupture after my hysterectomy a few years ago. It also helps my endometriosis pain a lot and while I am on it my organs don’t stick together. You can leave when your surrogate leaves here in Australia. So as Belinda is having a c section we stay with our baby, until she is ready leave too. There’s months of counselling, psych evaluations, legal agreements, you need to pass your states board and then you can start transfer. Surrogates in Australia want to do surrogacy to carry a baby for a family who can not carry their own and give them the chance to be a family. Here you pay all the medical fee’s, fertility fee’s and anything your surrogate needs during pregnancy but Belinda our surrogate has wanted to do this her whole life and we are incredibly grateful she chose us. She will be Aunty Bel to our son and he will know that she gave him the gift of life. She is like my second mum, she is family to us. We had our 36 week ultrasound for our baby boy. We met Belinda our beautiful surrogate at the hospital and the ultrasound showed her placenta has moved over, which is great as means if her body goes into natural labour it won’t be dangerous for her. She has decided for the c section for baby boys birth and we support what she wants for this birth. Surrogacy birthing vlog. On Wednesday the 7/5/25 we went into the hospital so that Belinda could have her Foley bulb put in. We all went home for a sleep and came back to hospital at 6am for induction where they put Belinda on an oxytocin drip. Contactions started not long after and they broke her waters at 1134am. Belinda worked so hard for hours and needed a rest so opted for the epidural at 730pm. She had a much needed sleep and we all tried to nap. Belinda got to 7-8cm dilated and continued to try to have baby boy until 630am Thursday 9/5/25 where with the doctors and Belinda decided to go in for an emergency c section. I held Belinda’s arm where she had more of a snooze and was so brave. Then, Millah Jay Holman was born at 820am 2.7kgs/6.15pounds. We stayed in our own rooms next to one another. I had my last day of work today before maternity leave. The girls from work organised the most beautiful book with things from my tiny humans, made me clinkers slice, flowers presents and cards. I’m forever grateful I get to spend my work days at a place that fills my cup up and that I’ve found such close friends in my centre over the years. They’ve been there through it all and so have the families. Next time I see them I’ll be a mum and that’s just to surreal to say. Here we go baby boy, this is it.
