Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Here’s my easy go to recipe for Corned Beef and Cabbage. 1 package of brined Corned Beef. I prefer the flat cut because it’s great for leftover sandwiches. Rinse and pat dry with a paper towel. Lay a bed of onions in a Dutch oven or large pot, place the corn beef on top of the onions, squeeze a generous amount of mustard on top, sprinkle the seasoning packet that comes with the package, add some garlic powder, paprika and pepper. Pour in enough water to reach almost the top of the corn beef, but not submerging it. You want to keep mustard seasoning top above water. Then add some beef bullion. Some people also like to add Guinness. Cover with a lid and simmer on low for 3 hours. Then remove the corn beef and add cabbage, potatoes and carrots. Cover with a lid and simmer for another 20 minutes. #cornbeefandcabbage
