Lemon and Blueberry Focaccia!🍋🫐 RECIPE BELOW👇 Sweet focaccia’s are definitely having a moment right now and this might be my favorite! It has a zesty lemon glaze, fresh blueberry compote and a delicious streusel crumble! Recipe For focaccia dough 740 grams all purpose flour A pinch of salt 12 grams sugar 2 packets rapid rise instant yeast 540 g warm water For blueberry compote 3 cups blueberries Juice of 1 lemon 1 tbsp water 3/4 cup white sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract Cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp corn starch + 1 1/2 tbsp water mixed together) For crumble 2/3 cup flour 2/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup melted butter For icing 1 cup powdered sugar Zest of 1 lemon Juice of 1/2 lemon or more if you want a thinner consistency 3 tbsp melted butter for the pan First make your blueberry compote by combining blueberries, lemon juice, water, vanilla, and sugar in a skillet and cook on medium for 5 minutes until the berries have released their juice and the mixture is bubbling. Mix your corn starch and water then pour them into the blueberry mixture and cook for another couple minutes until thickened. Remove it from the heat and allow it to cool. For the dough, mix all the dough ingredients together in a stand mixer (or by hand in a a bowl), and kneed for about 5-10 minutes until dough comes together and is smooth. You don’t need to bloom the yeast if you are using instant yeast but if you are using another kind, bloom it first in the warm water until it becomes frothy (about 5 minutes) before mixing in the dry ingredients. Melt the 3 tbsp of butter than pour it onto the bottom of a sheet pan (I used a half sheet pan but you could use a full size and stretch it out more, it was a tight fit in the half size). Pour about a cup of the cooled blueberry compote over the dough and spread it around. Now fold one side of the dough over so it meets the middle, then fold the other side over that (a letter fold). Move the dough around so that it fits properly in the sheet pan, then cover it with plastic wrap loosely and let it rise for 40 minutes. While it’s rising, preheat the oven to 400 F. Once it’s risen, put a little oil on your fingers and dimple the dough all over by pressing firmly down, then spread as much of the remainder of the compote as you like over the top. Mix the crumble topping by combining the sugar and flour and adding the melted butter and mixing with your hands or a fork until you have a crumbly consistency. If it isn’t as crumbly as you want, add a little more butter. Sprinkle the crumble over the top, then bake for 25-35 minutes or until the edges are nice and golden. Make your icing by mixing all icing ingredients together until you have the consistency you like, drizzle it all over the focaccia and enjoy! #blueberryfocaccia #sweetfocaccia #lemonblueberry #focaccia #desserts

A little French chateau moment in the heart of LA! If you’re looking for things to do in Los Angeles, consider adding the beautiful Greystone Mansion to your LA bucket list! This mansion dates back to 1928, and was purchased by the City of Beverly Hills in 1965. Today, it is a public park that is free to visit! Parking is also plentiful (what a treat!). Spend an hour strolling through the gorgeous gardens and admiring the beautiful architecture. If you want to go inside the mansion, they also open for interior tours on one weekend day once a month (you do have to buy a ticket - this should be purchased in advance!). Greystone Mansion is also frequently used as a filming location. 🍋 LEMON LOAF CAKE RECIPE: Lemon Cake • 1 cup butter (room temp) • 1 cup sugar • 4 eggs • 2 cups flour • 2 tsp baking powder • ½ tsp salt • ½ cup sour cream • Zest of 1 lemon • Juice from ½ a Meyer lemon Lemon Syrup • ½ cup powdered sugar • ½ cup lemon juice (2 Meyer lemons) Lemon Icing • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar • 2 tbsp lemon juice (Meyer lemons) • 1 tbsp milk or water Instructions: 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 320°F. Grease & line a loaf pan. 2️⃣ Cream butter & sugar until light & fluffy (2-3 min). 3️⃣ Add eggs one at a time, mixing in between. 4️⃣ In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder & salt. 5️⃣ Alternate adding dry ingredients & sour cream to the butter mixture. 6️⃣ Gently fold in lemon zest & juice. 7️⃣ Pour batter into pan & spread evenly. 8️⃣ Bake 50-60 min or until a toothpick comes out clean. While baking: ✨ Mix lemon juice & powdered sugar for the lemon syrup. ✨ Whisk icing ingredients until smooth. Finishing Touch: Let cake cool 5 min, then poke holes & pour syrup over while warm. DIY Easter cookie cake! I love these layered cookie cakes! They are so simple to make and turn out sooo cute ! Plus they taste really good too! All you do is: Spray a cheesecake pan with non stick spray! Add your sugar cookie dough and press into pan until it fills in the entire bottom of the pan. Then layer the Easter bunny sugar cookies on top! Lightly press them into the existing dough. Bake at 350 degrees until it looks done…😂maybe 12 minutes or so. lol Once it’s cooled down from baking, pipe icing around the edges. Top with sprinkles and that’s it !! Did you know Fresno County is home to the 11th tallest waterfall in California? Early spring is the best time to hike to Stevenson Falls! The trailhead to Stevenson Falls is one hour from Fresno, just past Mono Wind Casino. You will drive on a single lane mountain road the last 10 miles there. It is a 7-mile out and back trail (3.5 miles to the falls, 3.5 the same way back.) The entire trail is a paved fire road so it's super easy to follow with 700 feet of elevation gain. There are no facilities and minimal shade so come prepared and, as always, pack out what you pack in.🗑️ Definitely up there with one of my favorite hikes near Fresno! 📲 Search Stevenson Falls on AllTrails or the intersection of Million Dollar Rd & Italian Bar Rd on maps to find the trailhead. #stevensonfalls #fresno #centralcalifornia #sierras #hike
