New EP "Spell Between Worlds" on Spotify 🌀☀️ This opening piece is a prayer sung in reconstructed Gaulish, an extinct Celtic language spoken in parts of Continental Europe before and during the period of the Roman Empire. In the narrow sense, Gaulish was the language of the Celts of Gaul (now France, Luxembourg, Belgium, most of Switzerland, Northern Italy, as well as the parts of the Netherlands and Germany on the west bank of the Rhine). The linguistics material is based on the work of Bellouesus Isarnos found in "Anthologia Gallica" Disclaimer: Throatsinging is not attested in Gaulish culture and therefore this song do not represent it. It is just my personnal way of singing. Same with my facepainting and feathers: my art is rooted in prehistoric/paleolithic influences and these attributes are common to all humans worldwide. I don't wish represent any particular culture but the legacy of all humans, we're all related somehow through prehistoric tribes. Each track explores throat singing as a central element, woven into diverse instrumental textures: handpan, microtonal guitar with ebow, kashakas, and frame drum.
