Then my higher self shows up and says: Why not? YOU come from a blood-line of hardworking, willing, passionate, loving, caring, COURAGEOUS people. YOU made it this far because YOU never gave up, regardless of what you were up against. You are just getting started!! 🫂🥲 You see, systemically, socially, mentally, or emotionally—we’ve been conditioned to let the limitations, judgments, & fears passed down to us/projected onto us, decide who we are and where we’re going… but in reality, YOU decide. Please never forget that our community has always been DESERVING, WORTHY AND CAPAPLE OF GREATNESS. It’s not outside of us, it’s within us. 🤎 Be proud & Don’t give up now!

@willychavarrianewyork did it again. The moment I heard the first note sang by @Vivir Quintana in rehearsals my eyes filled with tears & my heart with so much emotion. Pride & joy to be a part of this beautiful show & of course great sadness knowing that this art reflects the reality happening in the streets of our hometowns. Willy, there are no words to express my gratitude & admiration for you. You giving your 🌹’s to those who came before you and those who don’t have a voice reminds me of why we do what we do.
