To all my mommas going through this journey you are not alone. My whole mind and soul is focused on how to heal her from this or how to prevent it. When I hear her scream and see her suffer I get so mad at myself. I always ask what could I have done to prevent this? It’s incredible to see the condition of my skin 18 months ago, a year ago, even 9 months ago when I first started training for this. 9 months ago, every single time I came home from a ride or run it would be like a thousand fire ants were running all over my skin. Now this only really happens when I run 🥲 Whenever it rained I would get infections all over my legs but now thanks to stronger skin and smarter attire I can ride no matter how bad the rain is. My biggest learning has been realising even though my body was in no state to be training for an Ironman I could still do anything I wanted to if I really wanted to. The many inconveniences of TSW made it so so much harder however once I got outside it didn’t seem to matter. As for the pain and suffering that would come after training well that was future me’s problem it just felt so good, so freeing to be outside and doing what I wanted to do! I was on topical steroids since I was a baby for my eczema and when I decided to stop using them (tapered off in the span of 3 months), my body went into a withdrawal and it covered my whole body head to toe.
